We use a small number of cookies and browser storage features. No third-party advertising trackers are used.

• Session cookie — keeps you signed in while you browse.
• Theme preference — remembers whether you chose dark or light mode.
• Remember-me cookie — only set if you tick "Remember me" on login.
• View logging — records which listings were viewed, by IP and device type, for seller analytics.

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out but will not affect any other part of the platform.

Your information is shared only in the following limited circumstances:

• With buyers — your business name, phone, and email are shown to buyers who view your listings.
• With administrators — our team can view account details to approve sellers and moderate listings.
• With service providers — the hosting provider that stores our website and database.
• With legal authorities — only when required by law or a valid court order.

Beyond these cases, your data is never shared, sold, or transferred to any third party.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

• Passwords are hashed with industry-standard bcrypt — never stored in plain text.
• All database queries that involve user input use prepared statements.
• Session cookies are marked HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax.

We keep your personal data only as long as needed to operate the platform:

• Active accounts — retained while your account is in use.
• Listing data — retained while your listings are published and for a short period afterwards.
• View logs — kept for analytics for up to 24 months, then aggregated or deleted.
• Deleted accounts — personal data is removed within 30 days of a deletion request, except where required by law.

Under Tanzanian data protection principles, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — update or correct inaccurate information.
• Deletion — request that your account and data be deleted.
• Objection — object to certain types of processing.
• Portability — receive your data in a portable format on request.
• Withdraw consent — withdraw any consent you have previously given.
